Marketing & Brand Strategy Workshop
Marketing is not just advertising. Marketing is business.
What is your Marketing Strategy?
Not your campaign plan. Not your social media content calendar. Not your budget for podcast advertising. Do you have a Marketing Strategy? This workshop is a back to basics approach to the assessment of your market and your place within it. It helps you understand your marketing capabilities and how to build a brand for long term value creation. The output affects all areas of the business - product, finance, HR and sales.
Facilitated Marketing & Brand Workshop
An independent, impartial, 3rd party facilitator helps you make better decisions.
Back to Basics - Your Real Value Proposition
When was the last time you thought about what you do? When was the last time you stopped to think about the benefit you provide rather than the features you ship? This is where we start.
Understanding Your Market
We use an 'old fashioned' methodology to build a picture of the market you operate in. We look at your competitors - both direct and those who provide substitutes. We look at market power, defensible moats, emerging technologies and changing business models.
SWOT
Once we truly understand what you are and where you sit in the market, only then can we assess your Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. This requires honesty. This is where 3rd party facilitation comes into its own - making you look at the real picture.
Marketing Strategy Choices - The X Ps
Product, Pricing, People (Customers), Place (Channels & Distribution), Perception and of course Promotion. Your Marketing Strategy involves making informed and deliberate decisions about each of these parts of the marketing mix.
Marketing Strategy on a Page
One page. A roadmap. Who you are, where your opportunities lie, what your priorities are and the actions you will take to deliver marketing goals. Not just for today, this month or this quarter, but long term metrics that you and your stakeholders agree upon.
Actions & Accountability
Marketing is not be a siloed activity. Sales teams need to be supported by marketing. Marketing is fueled by innovation and diversity of thought, but also a willingness to take risks. We advocate the use of cascading OKRs to measure growth across the organisation.

✽ How it Works
Marketing Strategy Basics
An Honest Audit
There are countless case studies in business schools around the globe of companies that never saw their collapse coming. Change happens. Disruption happens. You need to establish a baseline. We do this through interviews with stakeholders, experts and anonymous surveys. We analyze complaints and feedback and audit your company's capabilities.
Who are your customers? What is your current price positioning? What is the perception of your brand?
Decision Time
The customers you have may not be the customers you want. Your product may no longer be fit for purpose. Your competitors maybe selling a price point where you cannot be profitable. The channels that you are selling through may be shrinking while others grow. Your messaging may not be consistent. It's time to have a strategy for all of these parts of the Marketing mix.
The Marketing Strategy
The Marketing Strategy on a Page gets taped to the wall. If it's not in the strategy, it shouldn't be being done. There is no point in having a strategy if it sits on the shared drive as a Powerpoint and never gets looked at after the workshop. Third party, independent facilitators help to assign actions and ensure accountability.

Frequently Asked Questions
Growth Strategy Workshop Facilitation.
It depends. The cost of professional facilitation varies considerably depending on the specific needs of your team, the numbers involved and the outcomes required.
Fees can range from as little as $USD 5,000 for shorter, team-based events up to $USD 45,000 for Leadership, Board, National or International engagements.
Other drivers of cost include:
- Venue and Logistics (Travel, accomodation, catering etc)
- Discovery, including interviews & surveys
- Add-on events e.g. Team Building, Training, Dinner
- Post-workshop follow up including AI licenses and Dashboards.
- Administration & workflow requirements (Archiving, Compliance, Board Responsibilities)
We recommend 2 day workshops. 1 day can work if everyone comes prepared, but it can feel rushed. 2 days allows for more consideration, with an evening event often helping to create a sense of comradery and alignment. Being able to reflect on day one with the benefit of a night's sleep can also create better outcomes. 3 days is a long time for leaders to be out of the office.
The hard part is finding a time in all the leaders' diaries, so make sure you leave enough time to plan and have some fallback dates.
We have been facilitating workshops on four continents for over 20 years. Our facilitators are practitioners with experience in professional development, consulting and training, comfortable speaking to the highest and the lowest people in an organisation.
Our facilitators understand local culture and markets and educate themselves about emerging trends and technologies to ensure that strategies are forward looking and 'future-proofed'.
